The CHallenge with Littles

I've found over the past several months that raising kids is not as easy and some people will make it sound. Yes they are a blessing but they are also a big distraction. I very rarely get the things accomplished that I set out to do each morning. One of them is promoting my essential oil business and keeping up with all my team members.

Recently we moved to another town really close to where we were previously as we needed more room. It as been wonderful having the extra room for the girls as they now have their own bedroom each. Hubby and I also each have our own office so no computer equipment out where little hands can get into things as well as all my beads, oils and potions.
It seems that I always take pictures when they are at their messiest. They are the world's best mess makers whether they are outside or eating. Recently they started jumping off everything so now I'm just waiting for one of them to get a broken bone.

I have recently taught a few essential oil classes and I will be hosting more after convention in mid September. I'm excited to see all the new products and learn about the co-impact sourcing initiatives that they have been working on this past year.

Look for this exciting class coming again this fall. I love being able to make my own perfume and customize it just for me.

Love a challenge

That is the only title that would describe our life right now. Living with two very active toddlers....well still babies at 16 months but they can just about out run grandma and grandpa. Everyday is a new day with new issues and wonderful things to discover about these two little people. From time to time I will probably be posting some of our discoveries as we try to incorporate a stable life and a healthier way of living for them. Yes, some of this starts with food.

My husband has become the chief master baby food maker. He cooks squash, carrots, meats and all kinds of goodies that are more healthy than the store bought canned baby/toddler food. They have learned to eat pretty much everything we do and love veggies and meat (which I grind up of course) for which we are very thankful as we are trying to switch to a more Paleo lifestyle. I will still give them grains such as oatmeal but we are going to try to stay away from wheat and rice products for them.

We cherish their nap times as that seems to be the only time we can get anything done like laundry and house cleaning...forget about computer games and hobbies for now. Don't even think about picking up your tablet or phone as they think it is theirs.

I know our life will even out as it has only been a couple weeks. We will be getting help as some weekends they will spend with other family members for which we are grateful.

Here they are playing in the tunnel that my nephew gave them.

I never thought I would say that our life would be changing at our age but we do have two precious little ones that need us and we will be there for them.

Hope.happiness.healing

Three simple words. What do they mean? How can you get to that point of happiness or even healing without hope. We all hope that something good will happen to us someday or we pray for good things to happen or people to be cured of an illness or we even pray and hope for world peace.
What is Hope?

Hope is the desire for something to change or a feeling of trust.
We all have hope and at times faith that the world as we know it will all come together and be harmonious. There is nothing wrong with that and in fact it is what we all live by and need in our life. If we don't have hope of change, whether it is within ourselves or our surroundings, then how can we find happiness or healing. So, we start with HOPE.

Own it. Have faith in it. Embrace it. Be ready for the Change.

What would you do?

What would you do differently
if you knew that life didn't
judge you?

This was the discussion my husband and I had this week over morning coffee. Such a deep topic for so early in the morning before coffee.

I didn't have to think too hard as we all feel we are being judged by someone. Imagine what we would do if we felt we didn't have to impress or be tied down by judgements. Would you laugh out loud at a joke versus just chuckle? How about dancing to the music of your favorite artist instead of just tapping your toe?

Would our true selves come out then or are what we are showing the world now our true self?

Are you comfortable being your true self?
Try it. The next time you want to do sometime (legal of course) and find yourself holding back or changing your actions, go that extra step. Humm, dance in your seat or sing along to the radio in your car. What about doing something just for YOU? Take a walk, ride a bike, travel, get a dog or cat, go back to school and learn something new or just take a random class on something that interests you like cooking or pottery.

Our Happiness isn't determined by other people. We choose how to live our life and what makes us Happy.

Aren't YOU worth it?

I would love to hear your thoughts....

Black Eyed Pea Avocado Salad

Sometimes I struggle with new recipes and how to incorporate essential oils. This is a keeper. Black eyed Pea Avocado salad.

1 can Black Eyed Peas drained
1 Avocado chopped
1\3 Green bell pepper chopped
1\4 cup onion minced
2 small Tomatoes chopped
1 teaspoon Garlic powder (not salt)
1 Tbls olive oil
2 Tbls Red wine vinegar
1 drop Cilantro essential oil
1 drop Cumin essential oil
2 drops Black Pepper essential oil
Salt & Pepper to taste

Mix it all up and let marinate in the fridge for about an hour before serving. If you don't have the Black Eyed Peas you could substitute Black beans.

I plan on making tacos for dinner tonight and this will be perfect along as a side dish vs. refried beans and so much healthier.

Enjoy!
