Today my wonder cleaning potion is Baking soda. I have found so many things that use baking soda that I now buy the giant bag you can get at that warehouse store.
I made up this recipe yesterday and then again today to clean the outside of our garage siding as it had that green moss growing on it along with some black stuff that I really didn't want to think about. I started out cleaning the siding with a product that had bleach and TSP in it but the smell and drippage on my skin and clothes (yes I did wear gloves and yes now my clothes have bleach marks) just did me in. I knew there had to be another way to clean that was safer for me, the surrounding grounds and the dogs. Just that morning I had cleaned the toilet bowl with some baking soda and castile soap and thought why not beef it up a bit with the hydrogen peroxide and try it on the green grunge, hence this was born. So use this to clean any household hard surface inside and out.
Super Cleaner
2 cups Baking Soda
1 cup Hydrogen peroxide
1/4 cup Castile soap
1/2 cup water
10 drops Lemon essential oil or any scent you like but the lemon helps the cleaning power.
Mix up in a plastic or glass container, grab a sponge or brush and start cleaning. If mixture starts to get to dry or pasty just add a bit more water. Be sure to rinse well with clean water. You may cut the recipe in half for a smaller amount.
Oh, and I have no more green slim or black grime on my garage siding and no I will not come over and clean your siding.
